Previously I recommended Jason's coverage of the Hatsu Basho but I know not everyone follows sumo wrestling as closely as I do so I wanted to called out the start of the May tournament. It begins Sunday May 13th in Tokyo, Japan and there are a lot of interesting storylines to follow. If you watch Jason's "Welcome to the May 2018 Grand Sumo Tournament" video he will talk about a number of them but my personal favourite is Tochinoshin making a possible Ōzeki run as well as the return of Hakuhō.

Watching sumo wrestling can be very daunting for someone who has no idea what is going on but Jason's outstanding commentary is always super useful for newcomers. Check out this amazing video from his channel of Hakuho v Harumafuji from day 15 of the 2012 September Grand Sumo tournament to get an idea of what you're in for.
