The release schedule for 2024 is looking quite spartan but I can't really complain after 2023 was such a banger year. If only these five games are released my 2023 backlog could still sustain me for the rest of the year.

1. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth

Yakuza: Like a Dragon was my second favourite game of 2020 so it should come as no surprise that I am excited about its sequel, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. I cannot wait to wander around Honolulu with Ichiban and the "Dragon of Dojima".

2. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 looks amazing and Saber Interactive appears to have perfectly captured what it is feels like to be an Adeptus Astartes. Fingers crossed they can stretch it out to a solid 8-10 hours of fun.

3. Helldivers 2

Starship Troopers is one of my favourite films and I enjoyed the first Helldivers. So bringing the freedom of Super Earth to alien scum in Helldivers 2 seems right up my alley.

4. Dragon's Dogma 2

While I have never played the first Dragon's Dogma I have heard nothing but good things. Hopefully in 2024 I can partially rectify that sin by playing Dragon's Dogma 2.

5. Shadow of the Erdtree Expansion for Elden Ring

This is at the bottom of the list because we still aren't sure when the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion for Elden Ring is going to be released. Recent rumors seem to indicate it will be in 2024 but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it gets delayed.
